Post everything in this place that's about skateboarding. I just hope that I'm not the only skater in here.

I've just read Maguires thread about his shoes, and if he could tell from where he got them I'd buy them

Some pics to start with:

My skateboard

Street shoes

Old shoes which I use for skating, want to replace them though with Marguire's.

My skateboard is a bit old, still loving it. Had a short break, now fully returned to skateboarding.

I can basicially go on all ramps except the half-pipe. All I can do when not being in a skatepark is the ollie and sometimes the ollie while riding.

I fell on my leg the last time I tried something else

I'm not that usual skater from the look, I wear Hip-Hop clothes, in summer just stylish tees and baggy jeans/trousers (short ones)

What about you?

This is my first post in this forum btw, so hey all.

when i did skate (toooo long ago), i sported Kenny Anderson Adios, and i was never on any other deck than an Element. Independent trucks, (ride the best, fuck the rest).

i only have ONE deck out of all of them that wasnt broken doing tricks.
i was really good at flipping in and out of nose slides/stalls. so as you can imagine, the nose got smashed off of almost every deck i owned.

i miss skateboarding sometimes, but im too old now. great experiences though, thats for sure.

edit:

Since when did skaters become emo fags? I always associated them with punk music etc.

Element <3

When I was younger I had one of these mini-element boards.. Good times.

I'm practising every day to get better, succes is already here.

I never broke a deck though haha

And Docjones, I was awaiting a reply like yours

Not really. Most of the skaters I know here listen bands like Arcistic Monkeys, The Kooks, Beatsteaks ect. ect.

There are even a few (like me) which adore Hip-Hop

Also, I can't karma back yet

the ONE thing about skateboarding that i learned....and it is still with me today.

the old, "if you fall off the horse, you get back on and try again.".

i cant count the number of times i got up, palms stinging, knees bloody, pricking gravel out of my elbow.......but i got back up and kept going.
thats some character building right there.

keep with it man, its a great sport.

I know exactly what you mean..

Actually my right hand's wounded, so is my right elbow (from my last manual try, lol) and my right knee's got a dark violet buise.

Actually the bruises on my left ass side hurt the most

That wont stop me from going to faceplant tomorrow again though

I skated an Ed Templeton Toy Machine Board that had his face in cartoon style artwork on it.  Best I could do on street would be 50/50 grinds to half cab out, or shove it out.  I could skate half pipes, but could never do anything that would make you impressed, haha.

Although I don't skate anymore, I still find myself basically dressing the same.  I still wear skate shoes, Ipath is what I have now.  Back in my skating days, I wore Etnies.  But my favorite pair ever is still the Airwalk Jason Lee models.  (From before he became an actor, he's Earl now in "My Name is Earl")

That was a kick-arse deck to ride, never owned one but for some reason i always liked riding my mates, must be something about element, element kicks arse, i think i went on it more than he did

Oh, I can do the 50-50 too haha (The ollie on whatever I want to do it on is the problem though, lol)

Back in my real skater days I wore etnies too, mostly Emerica though. I stopped buying these expensive shoes though cause I fucked them too fast.

Lol. I love my deck toomuch, I don't want it to break haha

This deck is really old though? I had to decide between the one I have now and a similar one, the imilar one was around 50 bucks cheaper though.

While I don't skate personally, I have a few friends who do. I don't care enough to know what stuff they use, but still.
