Would you be against it at all?

I for one would not. It would certainly stand a good chance of sorting out all the BS that we have to put up with because countries can't get along or they get butt-hurt from a cartoon ...

Only an Alien Invasion/Threat would unite the world. Even then, I'm not so sure...

I'd be against it. Big Government = No thanks

no, bad bad bad bad idea. Fuck the European Union. Fuck the North American Union. Fuck the Asian Union and Fuck the NWO. If this goes through, say goodbye to every right you have as a citizen.

No one says it has to be big government. Just A government.

Basically like the UN - but with real meaning behind it.

Impossible. Less accountability.

You bet your ass I would be against it. Read 'The Social Contract' by Jean-Jacques Rousseau and then make an informed decision. He was way before his time (although tbh he stands on the shoulders of Plato et al).

I voted yes...because I think we can all live like they do in the world of Star Trek: The Next Generation.  All people under one government, no money anymore..space exploration...ok, I"ll shut up.

But yeah, I do believe it's ideal..but it won't happen in this world's history until Jesus comes and establishes the law of consecration again and governs the world and it's righteous inhabitants for 1000 years.  That's the only real "one government" solution I would accept.

Yes means you are against a world government. I made the same mistake. I meant to say "Yes I might support it" as I hope we could live that way someday, too

No. I'd hate that. Look at the EU for instance, it works half the time, but can you honestly see countries like Israel and... the rest of the ME working alongside?

Absolutely against it. Beside the fact that it would never ever ever ever work in reality the concept of all power being concentrated into one small group of decision makers is a bad idea. I believe power should be devolved to the most regional level possible...not centralised.

sorry you feel that way

I would be against it for I think quite obvious reasons.

Possibly in the very far future when the unbelievable numbers of obstacles in the way currently have been eroded. From family groups to tribes to nations to continents, the size of the governing region has been following a slow tendency towards bigger, if not necessarily better.

Well let me propose this idea, then:

All the western countries (USA, Canada, EU, Australia, etc.) all band together then and form a representative government. Like a UN. I guess like a Parliament or a Congress or whatever. But then take it a step further and actually make stuff like the economies and make it easier to import/export or citizens to travel around and study at the various locations, you know?

I think that would be a good idea.

Centralising power is the road to ruin. The more people are presided over in one single jurisdiction the less representative the government becomes. This is basic shit man, c'mon...

Look at the US: two diametrically opposed camps are all that are on offer to American voters. A nation of 300m people of all manner of ethnic and cultural origins with all manner of views and opinions. Do you want to extend that shit further?

Very bad idea. We are heading towards it. Forming a few super states will make it easier to join them all up.

African Union + European Union + American union + soon to be Asian Union = one world government.

Span of control would be completely unmanageable. No common language, either.

no thanks, i would not want someone in Zurich/Basel/Yap/etc making decisions for me.

Government should be local dealing mostly with local issues and some foreign.
