Downloading right now.
You get actual Trophies to display in your Home house.kptk92 wrote:

Yeah? Can we already listen to our music in game?heggs wrote:
Can't wait to update, even if I'm still offline.
I do plan on taking advantage of the in game music soon though. I'll be upgrading my HDD and I'm going to dump all my music on it (20 gb).

When Home comes out that is..
It's really good, you just press the PS button in-game, and it comes up, instead of the "Turn off system, Controller settings etc..". The other feature is the "Internet Search" thing. It's in the Network Bar, just type in a word and it automatically searches the Internet, useful, but i'll never use it.
After 2.4 we can from the ps3 hard drive. Previously, no.SEREVENT wrote:

Super Stardust HD, a PLAYSTATION Network-exclusive released in June 2007, will be the first game to leverage Trophies and will offer a variety of trophies. Trophy support in Super Stardust HD will be available for first-time users who purchase the game soon after firmware v2.40 is released, while those who previously purchased and downloaded the title will be prompted to install a free patch.
PS3 users can expect to see additional games bringing Trophies support to their feature sets through 2008 and beyond, providing even greater opportunity to showcase their accomplishments and compete with friends. The following first-party games are also slated to offer Trophy support:
* BUZZ! Quiz TV
* LittleBigPlanet
* MotorStorm Pacific Rift
* NBA 09 - PS3
* PAIN
* PixelJunk Eden
* Resistance 2
* SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation
* Warhawk
To further emphasize the community aspects of this system software update, the amount of people you can add to your PSN friends list has been doubled, to 100.

Yup, pretty much. Took them 2 years, and they didn't get it right.HurricaИe wrote:
Such an underwhelming update.
In-game XMB: Good idea, a bit laggy for a second or two but it's good
In-game messaging: Good idea... too bad there STILL isn't any cross-game inviting or cross-game voice chat
Custom Soundtracks: Epic fail. No games support it through the XMB. Super Stardust HD supports it, but in crappy form, and it's been there since before 2.40. Basically 2.40 did nothing for this asides from adding the structural code... I still have to go through the SSHD menu to start a song for fuck's sake. I thought this would change it.
Trophies: Took them forever, and now two games support it. Hopefully more popular games will get patched.
Close, and about half the cigar. I hope 2.45 or 2.50 or whatever rights these horrible, horrible wrongs.
If it wasn't for the exclusives on this system, I'd be really regretting switching from a 360 to a PS3 right now.r'Eeee wrote:

Considering Infinity Ward didn't even support rumble controller, even though DS3 is out in American and Japan. I highly doubt, they will support Trophies. Gotta wait and see.eaglecorps wrote:
So will they eventually have trophies for games like Cod4 and other actually popular games for ps3?
