I never did a complete 180, but I certianly had to alter my own views to fit in accordance with what came to light.

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Agreed. One of the main reasons I read DST a lot (even though I post rarely) is because I enjoy getting new perspectives on the issues. I'd say my thoughts on issues have changed fairly often. My mind has been changed to the other side of the argument much less, but it has happened a few times.Parker wrote:

Cam, Kmarion, ATG, Braddock....a lot of people here have changed my thoughts on MANY topics.

I've never had my opinion changed after being part of a lengthy discussion, probably because if I feel strongly enough about something to continue posting about it it would take divine intervention to make me change my mind. That, or I'm just posting to play devil's advocate.
Reading long threads that I stay out of however, all the time. Especially on subjects I am not as well-informed on.

Easily swayed. I must work this into my master plan of domination somehow.Kmarion wrote:

I learned to dislike libertarianism.
I'd also like to think that people have read and been influenced by what I've been writing for the past two years, as I do feel I have a few thoughts that are quite epic.
ATG, Kmarion, and CamPoe have put up a lot of good points, and occasionally caused me to reconsider, but the radical rantings of a lot of our members have also served to further cement a lot of my views.
Basically no. But I am learning and gaining perspective.

FadedSteve has persuaded me not to use ellipses so much; Spark, never to bold my statements; Serge, to never create a poll; Marine, to stray away from one-liners;

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

I try to keep an open mind about things, so yes, I have changed my stances on many things and in many ways as a result of discussing things here.
Of course, some people seem to look down on that concept.

I have never really changed my mind, however there are a few that have made me stumble.

I went from " leader of the oil guzzling neocons " to considering a job offer from a mexican guy who owns a multi-million dollars metal company.
Yes, I have changed my mind. I attribute it more to changing world realities to anything anyone has posted. But I must say, CP is right a lot of the times goddamnit.
