Well trying to at least. I just grabbed my Canon, tripod, and my 75-300mm lens.

My attempts:
I couldn't get much detail out of Jupiter. But you can clearly see the moons.
Planets are extremely hard to shoot. The long exposure need to gather the light in conjunction with the fact that they move across the sky sucks.
Right click view and zoom in.
As you can see my settings were all over the place
oops.. little bit of a plane this time
The star on the left side is HP 95077@ 186.16 light years away.
I also took a shot at Antares. It looks reallly red in this next shot.. it's basically untouched.
