Ok, i currently have Windows XP 32-bit OEM on my computer. I want linux to see what its like as XP is boring and frustrating at times, i am upgrading to Vista home premium soon so i can upgrade my mobo.
Anyway, there are many Linux distributions available like ubuntu, OpenSUSE, Fedora ETC.
What distribution would you say is the best for work(word, powerpoint etc), graphics modelling (lightwave, adobe photoshop etc, if possible), internet and maybe some gaming (if possible)
I might partition my hard drive with my 250GB HDD being split to with about 20GB for linux.
my current specs are
Amd Athlon 3800 2.4ghz SKT 939
MSI RS480M2 mobo(rs480 chipset)
Ati Radeon x200 integrated graphics
1GB SDRR
250GB hardrive
2 DVD RW drive with lightscribe
300w bestec atx 300-12z
my computer shouldn't have a problem running linux
