IMO 1.5 can't come soon enough now. 4 days consecutively now the servers I've been on have been crashed. It's a nuisance.

I think EA's trying to make us chant "We need a hero!" in the form of a patch, all these crashes are quite troublesome.

disagree with a post (not the opinion of the post thought) then report it, simple.
Honestly, I wish EA would just leave Battlefield 2 alone. New maps are always appreciated, but the game has been tweaked enough and it is fine where it is.
Yes sure, but i would like to see the hitreg and the crash fixed. Plus dont forget all the glitchable buildings and bugs...so Hurricane's Patchlist ftw!killaer wrote:

I'd imagine to fix the shot registration, you would have to rework the entire game.

Nope. The netcode was pretty tight in 1.0. It would be a very rare occasion to see your shots just being ignored like we've gotten used to in 1.41. If they could rework it to that standard, everyone would be happy.aimless wrote:

Am I the only one who would love to see bunnyhopping finally eradicated..?

Well, the problem arises when the location of the hitbox does not correspond with the location of the enemy player. Bunnyhopping is an exploit designed to take advantage of the fact that you can shake off your hitbox and be where your hitbox is not, with the result that bullets pass harmlessly right through you. It's easy to shoot the person, but finding the hitbox can be problematic. Maybe I just need more experience in learning where the damn thing is...Wallpaper wrote:

On the other hand, I love when bunnyhoppers get killed because they bunnyhop. You can't actually see them cos they're in cover, but then you fire in their general direction and they panic and foolishly jump up in the air and expose themselves. Oh, how I rofl.

Saying 'aim up' just doesn't cut it. When people bunnyhop in BF2, their hitboxes go wandering off somewhere else. I've emptied entire clips into bunnyhoppers and just got puffs of dust in return.
Quicker than your hitbox!Nihil wrote:

Reminds me of this:
then you need to fix your hitreg... or use the m16..Spidery_Yoda wrote:

Or just do like everyone else : use claymores ! Instant kills, 0% skill required ! How awesome !
I've gotta agree with Sgt.Gene here. In my experience, any decent player will shred you bunnyhopping or not. It's useful to escape nub sprays but good aim will tear you to pieces.Sgt.Gene wrote:

Read: Learn to shoot.
It isn't an exploit to avoid your own hitbox, it's an avoidance tactic that has been around since the near beginning of the online FPS genre (see Quake, Tribes and CS). The fact BF2 has mediocre netcode is a bonus, but it isn't the reason people hit their spacebar in combat. The hitbox lag is fairly predictable based on your ping, so with minimal practice it isn't difficult to hit someone regardless of their position on the ground or in the air.Nihil wrote:

Dice already nerfed the hell out of movement in BF2 and it shows, the last thing it needs to be is even more buggy than it already is.
