As the title suggests I have just done another disco.  I used to do these very often about 8 years ago but it was time consuming taking the hired equipment back so I went and bought my own.

Equipment consists of stuff like this

Twin cd' decks

Cd Mixer (I have a far simpler version)

Audilab Amp, Acoustic Solution Speakers and a 12" sub.

The venue is my local sports club (Rugby, Hockey and Cricket) its a mixture of all ages from young kids to the old boys who drink bitter from their own glass kept behind the bar.  In the past I only played old music but my audience seems lower now so I can play more funky stuff.  The majority of the dancefloor was filled with 17/18 year olds, they kept requesting 80's and 90's stuff rather than the latest Rhianna.

Here a few of the tunes I got away with on Saturday night, the poor old fella's probably still have ringing ears now.

Run DMC - Tricky

Inner Circle - Bad Boys (from COPS)

Adele - Hometown Glory (High Contrast/Drum n Bass)

Ironik - Stay with me (chipmunks)

Freemasons - When you touch me

Duffy - Mercy ( remix)

Rhianna - Take a bow (remix)

Dawn Penn - No, No, No

Mc Hammer - U cant touch this

Marc 'badboy' Morrison (so bad they named a range of supermarkets after him) - Return of the Mac

That will do for now, you need to see the venue and its occupants to realise what I have done by playing some of this stuff.  A great sucess, the best one I have done so far, already been booked for another one.  My only downside regards who is locking up that night if its the right guy we have a 4am finish rather than 12 with the last 4 hours being an open bar, shutters down and me playing what I want to.  We are off to Barbados in 2010 and my disco's help bring down the cost as I dont charge other than a free bar and taxi home.
