Unknown Windows API function

Hi. This is my problem. I can join online multiplayer games fine, but after a minute or so, I get disconnected and it comes up with this error: "RESTRICTION: Unknown Windows API function [131136]. Does anyone know what's going on? It's getting really annoying. Any help would be appreciated. I don't use any hacks.

I have:
- Disable Norton
- Updated Punkbuster
- Unistall games and programmes that i dont use anymore
- Close programmes on my task bar
- Tried the commands /pb_system 1 and /pb_sleep
- Uninstall Norton Anti virus

These are the system that i have:

- AMD athlon XP2400+ (2 GHZ)
- 512 MB RAM
- ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128 MB
- Win XP prof

And can someone tell me what the error means???

programmes is also correct. look it up on webster.

To the OP, it sounds like part of your registry may have been corrupted. You can try running a registry repair software, but most programs of this type require you to pay for them. You safest bet would probably be to do a repair install of windows, which will rewrite your entire registry and hopefully fix whatever problem exists.

Dont run BF2 in the compatability mode, do not run any other programs in compatability mode at thesame time.

I dont have a clue what the compatability mode is, I just searched the error.

thats a winInet error
check ur firewalls maybe uninstall and reinstall them cause one of them is taking a shit.

The op said he disabled his firewall. That should have stopped it from doing anything to stop battlefield 2 from functioning normally.

maby its the widows firewall it did same thing to me on my lap top one time and i just made mcAfee allow this progam on all ports and same wif the windows fire wall

It definitely sounds firewall related. I found the same problem on another forum .

from reading the posts the firewall has to be completely removed, disabling is not enuff.

disabling a broken firewall doesnt do shit. ever use avg? disabling it doesnt stop it.
