How is dictating another European countries internal policy (it is an internal matter after all, you know, Czech soil) standing for freedom. True freedom would be letting the Czechs and whoever else doing whatever THEY want to do. Surely?

I will say, the U.S should stick its nose out of Europe, They want a "missile defence shield ", not anyone else. The U.S want one in Europe. Like i said this could be the key to the U.S for their campaign for world domination.

What i mean by "freedom" is if this system is made, the U.S will have a missile system in Europe, thus is anyone disobeys the U.S don't be surprised if they get bombed.

The U.S needs the support of the countries to do this, I'll admit they're probably being pressurised into doing it, but so are Russia pressuring them not to. So in essence they're being given an option of East vs West, and it looks like they want to look West. At the end of the day, it's upto them as it's their soil. Personally, the Czechs should tell them both to fuck off. But they'd never do that.

Wait, just like how Russia are threatening the Czechs with bombs? The U.S aren't even doing that, you just made it up.

Here you are always talking about how it's bad for Israel to pre-emptively attack an enemy. And how the US shouldn't pre-emptively attack Iran. Now you're saying it's ok to attack as a form of defence. Make your mind up. (I know I have, I'm generally against pre-emptive strikes except in extreme situations)

I don't understand why the Russians are so pissed off. It's a missile DEFENSE shield. The only reason the Russians should be pissed off is because they wanted to use missiles on Europe. It'd be like a ex-con getting threatening to rob a bank because the government wants to install new security measures.

Mek, this is old. The Russians have expressed their disagreement about this US plan to build missile defense systems in Europe a long time ago. Didn't follow your link but I'm guessing that military action is something of a last resort.

Not saying that Russia is less of a warmonger than the US or anything, but in this case they're right to have fears about this, same as the Americans did with the Cuban crisis. I mean, let's face it. The US has absolutely no business setting up missile defense systems in Europe.

edit: for those of you who stick to the word "defense": Would you be ok with the USSR setting up missile "defence" systems in Cuba?
