I google'd "live messenger download" and clicked the first link, and got this (safe) link.
I downloaded an installer for MSN 9.0 and when I clicked install it refered me to a page that looks like this..

So all I have to do is send MSN9 to 88889 to receive a code to activate my install. Fair enough, sounds like a pretty good anti-bot system.

Read the small print:

You made a premium download. The server used to download this software needs that you send 3 ( total cost 6 pounds ) sms before installing on your computer.

Fuck that!! Since when did I have to pay for MSN?

i clicked the link, you spelt messenger wrong and its gone on a spam/scam site (notice messenger is spelt with one s in the URL). This is the wrong link to MSN messenger

just be more aware on what you click on, and if you want to download something always use google to search for it, as it displays the genuine site at the top 99% of the time and corrects any spelling mistakes

Sorry to say, but if you fell for that, you aren't very smart. It doesn't even have the MS logo, Windows Live commercials, or even the Microsoft logo there.
