once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Yep, could probably squeeze a bit more out of it if I tried. Think my RAM is a bit limiting.dalmar72 wrote:

EDIT: Mitch - Gigabyte GA-X38-DS5| Q6600 G0 @ 3.6Ghz with AF 7 Pro| 4x1GB Corsair TwinX XMS2 800Mhz| Sapphire 4870| Creative X-Fi Extreme Gamer| OCZ Stealth XStream 600W| 2x Hitachi DeskStar 250GB SATAII in RAID 0| Antec 900 Gaming Case| Vista Ultimate 64bit
I usually run it at 3.6Ghz as it gets a bit toasty when clocked higer than that.

nice work, the goal for my xeon was 4Ghz, but ran outta time/energy to continue the tweaking.... might have to give it another shot
i think .sup wins

Ye i spend two weeks figuring the lowest vcore. Was kinda disappointed, was hoping to have a lower one. My goal is 4.5 anything above will be a pleasant surprise. I just don't have the time and nerves atm.dalmar72 wrote:

cpuz is reporting mine at 1.113 but It think it is 1.31 temp idle is 37 C, I think it's my mobo the heats up need a new NB cooler..Sup wrote:

Thats a nice vcore man! I dunno poor batch i guess tho i read as soon as it was released that my batch OCes well. I got one of the first E8400's the next (newer) ones were supposedly a bit worse OCers.dalmar72 wrote:

1 minute 20 seconds.
2.4Ghz single core
No screenshots since I can't be arsed and I'm not really proud of that score.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
got it 2 4005Mhz 9X445, best I can get so far is 12.024 second for 1M pi. I have my memory locked at 400 (800 DDR) and I have to run 2T times with 4 sticks of memory so I think thats my limit..Sup wrote:

what's the price?
Its 130€ now. When I bought it it was 190€. Soon after I bought it price went above 200€ so I was a bit lucky there to get it cheaper.a_reborn_vetaran wrote:

Okay, and I suppose you're happy with it? (Overclocked?)
I'm thinking about buying a new CPU and that might be the one.
But shouldn't I wait until the pricedrops at 20th of July?
And will it be many difference with my current CPU (look top of this page).

32.457s w/ AMD 5000 @ 2.9GHz
So, noone knows the answer to why it lists my RAM is -1?
17.004 sec. E6600 @ 3.2Ghz.
edit: it was 17.004 sec, not 17.001.
