He's good for his age. I hope he doesn't get too big of an ego because of this because he's far from perfect and if he starts thinking that he is he won't improve and he's got potential to be really very good. I kind of wish I had started playing the guitar at that age but NOOOO my parents wanted me to play the piano.

The Eruption video wasn't bad but I couldn't even watch the Freebird video after the first minute. If he can't get the slow solo down at the beginning, what makes me think he can get the fast one at the end?
Anyways, he is pretty damn good for his age, kids pick this stuff up pretty quickly. I wish I started playing guitar at a younger age, I didn't start until high school and haven't even played that much in the past year so I'm really not that good. I really do hope it doesn't get to his head though. I've come across a lot of musicians during high school and a lot of them were either stoners or deuchebags. It's kind of funny because the best guitarist my age I ever met was actually a really nice guy and he played mostly metal. Most of the other musicians I met suck.
Speaking of child prodigies, has anybody here heard of a kid in Poland named Igor Falecki? This kid is truly amazing, he's only 6 years old now unless he just turned 7 within the past month and he sounds absolutely amazing. Fortunately I come from a Polish speaking family so I can understand the interview about him. His whole family is filled with musicians and his band is mostly his family members. His parents say they never even put drum sticks in his hands, he just started banging on pots and pans in the kitchen when he was 2 or 3. They don't pressure him to play and say if he ever wants to quit drumming, they'd let him. Pretty cool family all around but seriously, this kid is pretty amazing. i know a kid who's crazy good at guitar at my school
and i can barely stand him
the huge ego i can manage, but he's a major brown noser to teachers and thinks he is much more intelligence than he is in actuality
