http://sg.vr-zone.com/articles/GeForce_ … /5718.htmlThe first 2 models from the GeForce 9900 series will be 9900 GTX and 9900 GTS instead of 9900 GT we reported earlier. It seems Nvidia has decided to launch them as early as July to counter RV770 and steal the performance crown away. Nvidia has earlier confirmed GT200 existence and revealed that the GPU has about 1B transistors. Our sources are suggesting a 512-bit memory interface with GDDR3 memories for GeForce 9900 GTX using P651 PCB and a 448-bit memory interface for the GeForce 9900 GTS.
Hey, sounds awesome. I've got a few thousand dollars to burn.
Don't burn them but give them to me insteadmikkel wrote:

8800gts>Step up>9900gts
haha will do with mine as well, if they're good cards. i like the memory bus bandwidth on those.Stimey wrote:

About time we'll be (Hopefully) Getting a 512-Bit interface. Then Crysis will run smoother with 1GB memory..
how much will the 9900GTX cost? I hope it's not one of those 600€ cards again...

Ask your self this, how much was the 8800GTX when it launched?GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Yep, it will be expensive.
but 9800GTX was 300€. That's why I'm thinking if the card could be priced the same as GX2 at 475€.The_Sniper_NM wrote:

The 8800GTX is still $750 here, the 9800GTX is $480 and the 9800GX2 is $863
Why is the 8800GTX still so expensive? I'd have figured that the 9800GTX would take it's price range and put it down a bit.

The 9800 replaces the 8800 (GTX) so they stopped manufactering 8800GTX's therefore its all out of supply and prices inflate. : )PBAsydney wrote:

I dont, quite, see the point in this thing :\ Although, if it's a sub $150 card I suppose it could work, not everyone has, or indeed wants to spend silly money on graphics cards.

I'm curious as to why the inquirer hates Nvidia so much.
Cause Nvidia never invite them to pre release conferences etc. That guy, Max I think fucking hates them with a passion, his articles are always hilariousVolatile wrote:

Indeed they are, even after they tell you that your card is inevitably going to shit the bed in the near future.Bell wrote:
