I think they should change the purple heart..
I think it should be getting a certain ammount of kills with less than half your health
so it actually takes skill instead it being when you suck during a round you get it

I thought it was hard to get Purple heart because you need to get 5 kills. Of course, I got it within two days. *cries*

Some people drop out if their performance is poor or if their team is losing - you see it all the time mid-mission. To stick it out shows some character.
I came very close to getting the Purple Heart once (maybe 2 or 3 more deaths would have done it), but hopefully won't be in that position again.

The Purple Heart is the "well at least you tried" medal. Its given so horribly bad players can at least get one medal and feel good about it :p

I got mine on the south MEC spawn point on the Sharqi Peninsula map. They where chopper whoring and I was trying to get our chopper up. The next thing I know I got the purple heart. I will say it's more a badge of perseverance. It would have been so easy to switch to USA and rape right along with them but I fought! And got a medal.
Well I got mine going for veteran knife on karkand, was getting my ass whooped pretty bad
But heck, why do people consider it to be a medal of shame. I think it looks pretty on my awards list!

I got my expert knife badge and had a positive ratio to boot.
I got my purple heart on purpose a loooong time ago. It was sharqi I believe, our team was winning horribly so I threw myself into enemy fire, and killed someone every once in a while to prevent a death streak. Getting a purple heart isnt a noob badge, I know for a fact I've given a few people purple hearts with vicious aerial spawncamping. Theres really nothing you can do when theres a cobra raining explosive shells down on the spawn point with no stingers or 50 cal machine guns.

In reality, I did not deserve the purple heart. I actually wasted two rounds trying to get the damn medal. It was a lot harder for me to get this gay purple medal of noobness then even getting my basic knife or pistol.
I was chasing people around with an ammo bag hoping that they would kill me, but no they run away from a maniac running towards them.

yeah im a tank whore im a noob that doesnt do this and havent gotten that. but i do have my veteran knife and basic pistol i am working on my verteran pistol now. and still not purple heart.
Im lucky not too have the purple heart... & I will not ever be going for my gold expert knife badge...
