hey guys

I found an MSI P35 Diamond motherboard on overclockers B grade stock section earlier for 14p. I ordered it and combined with delivery/vat ended up paying around £10. I understand it is B Grade but what does this actually mean? Is it that the main product itself is working but packaging/accessories etc. may not be present and that it may have been returned/reconditioned/show signs of use?

cheers

Means that the product has been returned and if required refurbished, and is probably OEM (meaning no cables, drivers etc).

Its the proper product but B grade means it was maybe an ex display, returned item, damaged/refurbished or it might have something missing

It should, yes. There is no real reason why it shouldn't - unless it wasn't tested.

Ok cheers for the replies so far.

One other question I have is can I test the mobo without the entire system? What do i NEED to be able to test if the mobo works?

Put ATX cables from PSU in and plug it to the wall + put the switch on and check if the leds of the mobo light.

Then turn it on and see if you get error beeps for no ram/cpu/gpu.

I didn't realise my PSU mobo lead was only a 20 pin like all the other computers in the house ><><><
