... simply opens many programs at once. (I don't have any macro keys or keys that I am willing to sacrifice - preferably a program that I just double click) eg. I double click Application A and it automatically opens App B C D E F (ie Firefox, Thunderbird, Steam)

Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

Thanks! That works, just had to do a bit of fiddling to make it work - spaces and such, but it seems to work now

lololol, I used to use a bat script like that after a gaming session, i was too late to restart so i just ran it and it reran everything XD

I also used another one to close everything down before a gaming session, Bonus points: Autorun BF2 after everything's killed XD

I used to do that after I would start my PC. I had way too much junk to turn on, that lagged it down upon startup. If I needed to reboot and quickly do something after starting, I had to wait an eternity for everything to settle down.

So, I just ran the batch file when I was ready. So convenient...

Yes, write your own batch file into a text file and then convert into a batch file.

(a synopsis)

I actually wrote one of those but opening about 50 copies of internet explorer set to meatspin, then copied the batch, pasted about 30 times, highlighted and executed. srs lulz ensued.
edit: did this on my friends computer and then turned off the monitor.
