We pay about 25 Cyprus pounds (1.2 English to the Cyprus) for our shared (With the Island, as the sole provider has only 310 Mbps for the entire island) 1Mbps connection. I get about 125+

Most residential accounts in the US are "all the bandwidth you can consume" at a given speed (e.g. 1 Mbps down, 256 Kbps up).  I have an acquaintance up in Canada whose account limits the AMOUNT of bandwidth he can push through their system.  This is kinda similar to what web hosting companies do.  It is one way to try and limit people from using their home accounts as business (e-commerce) accounts.  E-commerce accounts would consume WAY more bandwidth than the average home user.  However, gamers and guys d/l huge files may run into consumption choke holds from their ISPs.

I kinda like the way we do it here in the states.  Some of you guys in other places seem to get jobbed.
