ok, i am doing a new build, everything on it is 64-bit compatible. I am using my new build for graphics modeling(my bro is a game designer), gaming, internet and work.

what is 64-bit used for, what are the advantages/disadvantages, what applications use 64-bit and does 32-bit applications work on 64-bit.

should i get 32-bit or 64 bit

thanks

64 bit...

more RAM, and every 32bit thing I use works perfectly on 64bit.

agree. At least if you have enough memory
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I also have Vista x64 and haven't run into any incompatibilities or problems yet.

me neither, chalk up another vote for 64 bit.  its cool, having 4gb of ram and actually having it show up as so, unlike my 32 bit desktop.
