The only good thing Razer is good for is there Keyboards and Mice. Otherwise there sound stuff that i heard about is crap, i would just stick with creative if i were you.

there is another reason why i am asking
i got the razer hp-1 headset at half price at a computer shop near me
am running it on a sound blaster zx card
every thing sounds good on it and i don't mind spending on a new sound card

it's not like you need a razer card to get the most out of a razer headset.
get something out of the creative x-fi series. i'm really happy with my x-fi xtreme music.

Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS. If you can't find one, a $30 Audigy SE will work fine. If you want to play classic games, add a $2 SB16 to it.
