Annoying instant messaging conversations

I have a friend who I constantly get annoyed with over xfire just due to the fact that half the things he say make no sense. In real life he's pretty smart, but as soon as I'm talking to him on xfire I start getting pissed off. Here's an example of our typical conversation.

Me: What was the record for a blown BAC?

five minutes later

Him: quebert
Him: its a video game

I don't even know wtf to say to stuff like that. Half the time I just say screw it and log off.

Is there a way to block people on xfire?

Phrozen bot kept im'ing me with all kinds of worthless questions and begging to be my myspace friend, or for me to send him pictures of my self... I was looking for a button but even google wasn't a help.

I found telling him that he was creepy, and asking him if he was mildly retarded to be pretty efficient though...

There might be an option by right clicking their name, i haven't really used it in a while. But yeah, abuse works too.

right click and then remove friend, the next time he messages you block him

the block button is under the actions tab in the chat window.
