Xbox 360 exclusive? Wha..? PC gamers better get something just as good if the Xbox 360 gets a Portal sequel.

It's not a Portal sequel. Just some more levels.
Still though, it sucks that its no announced for the PC as well.

Portal was so short that a few more levels is a sequel in my mind. Either way, I want more Portal for my PC.Spidery_Yoda wrote:

Download this then.Havok wrote:

It's a map pack about as long/ maybe longer than the original portal. It introduce some new features and has a similar storyline.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
don't think the game has finished when the circle of turrets kills you, it is escapable!
Edit: and if Still alive map pack is exclusive for 360, I'm sure it won't take long for them to be created by the community for PC gamers

Obvious guess is that it'll be similar to the Cod4 map pack.
Xbox will get it for a short while before it is ported (lol) to PC.

What I don't get is - TF2 on the 360/PS3 gets little to no updates, no new map packs and no unlockable weapons...but they get an exclusive set of Portal maps? Gay.
Its for the Xbox Live Arcade.
Better get something. I payed good money for Orange Box Portal.
wtf? The 360 portal/orange box sold ZERO units. Why would they make an expansion if it didn't sell ANY units?
One - I did.DoctaStrangelove wrote:

Yes, I'm sure 770,000 units is zero.

Basically, they get what we've been able to have for ages.
Just get Portal: The Flash Version mappack. That thing is amazing and will truly test your abilities! I think I might've spent more time on that than the original. It has a pretty epic ending btw. Plus the behind-the-scenes places are very trippy and astounding.
Hey, guys, you know how the PC has this huge preexisting Valve fanbase and mod community who have used Hammer for years and started making massively awesome custom maps for Portal the moment it was possible?
Right, consoles dont have that.
Edit: Take it with a grain of salt, but...

Well, according to former Shacknews boss Chris Remo, the "additional content" isn't necessarily "new content", as he says the bonus maps are those found in Portal: The Flash Version MapPack. Which PC owners can already get. For free.

I just read the news on Kotaku about the true nature of this new content.

I blame both Valve and Microsoft for making it seem like a freaking sequel. Fucking ridiculous.Spidery_Yoda wrote:

They didnt make it seem like a sequel. Glados said portal was coming to the Live Arcade, and that it would have some new advanced chambers.
Of course everyone assumed they would be Valve made. But think of it like this. Valve wants people to be able to play Portal. A lot of 360 owners don't want to buy the Orange Box to be able to, so like Portal on Steam, they make it avaliable seperately. They also think TFV map pack was awesome, and want 360 owners to be able to play it. Due to MS's issues with allowing developers to update their games, Valve decided to include it in the XBLA version.
Everyone wins except those that bought the 360 orange box it seems. Maybe there'll be an update for the 360 OB too. I doubt it, but it might happen.

Gee, you guys. Getting so scared! Valve will never screw over PC gamers!
