well what is the best way to survive a gun battle... a three round burst or full automatic?

I'm a fan of the 3 round burst. Even when I use fully automatic guns I try to shoot in bursts. I find it to be more accurate.

burst on distance, auto on close ranges, but generally burst.
Close-quarters : auto
Mid-range : burst or "false-burst" with auto
Long range : semi or "false-semi" with auto

Personally I think burst is useless at any range, but thats just my opinion.

semi-auto fire is best and medium to long distance
ive began to find new apperciate for burst though lately
at first i thought it was flawed in close to medium combat..but its not if u aim steady enough

I like single shot if available, but would take burst over auto anyday. I'm trying to kill people not lay down cover-fire.
Burst guns tend to have a higher ROF then auto ones. The more bullets packed in my fire the better
