And CN, don't go back to Australia. They have tons of poisonous animals and they censor all video games.

The Liberals are Conservatives, Labor is Liberal, and I hate them both.

Also, we only have venomous animals, attacks are rare, and IIRC Manhunt is about the only game ever refused classification in Australia (and possibly it's sequel, not sure).

GTA3.

We have a shocking censorship history.

Still, 2 games is hardly something to write home about.  I don't think they should have been refused classification, but I also think that we need better policing of age classifications on video games.

The whole point of fairy tales (or the old, hardcore, gory ones) is to teach kids not to do the stupid stuff that's done by the main characters or you'll get eating/cooked/fucked up massively.

It was the lying that really got me. Which he did a fair bit of to be fair. Still most politicians do. Oh, and the poorly considered decision to invade a sovereign nation which posed no credible threat to Australia.

Also cut down on red tape in employment. I said much of, not all.

Yeah, but I don't class that as nanny state, I class that as police state behaviour. Two different things to my mind. Nanny state is more acceptable. I would have written to Snowdon (local member of the House of Reps) about them but he doesn't listen to anybody from Katherine, Alice Springs or Nhulunbuy. We aren't essential to his electorate.

Not so much the idea, just how they put it in practice. Namely the alcopops tax. As a young person I can tell you it hasn't done jack shit so far.

4% isn't as high as they were when Howard was first elected.... Went down before they went up. Mostly independent of what the Fed Government was doing at the time. Still not the major catastrophy much of the media made them out to be though.

Edit.

The democrats are probs the best way to protest the current way things are done in Australia. No democrats in the NT though.

This seems to be a state issue, not sure why anyone is even mentioning Rudd in this one.

Labor fucks up the economy eh? Well lets look at the facts. Unemployment is still low and has decreased just recently to an unexpected low. Massive budget surplus from last Budget. Reserve Bank has stopped raising interest rates as regularly as it did under Howard. Bear in mind Howard made surpluses in good economic times. Rudd govt is facing a massive global downturn, realistically the economy is still going very well.

Rudd has kept most of his election promises, so he cant really be critisied for lying. Some economists have even said that his tax cuts were inflationary. They were delivered anyway ( it was promised). No politician will keep all promises, this one keeps most.

Howard was notorious for making promises and then chucking them out , calling them " Non Core promises" , which really means that he was a lying C*&t that would do anything to get elected. Good thing it failed.

China? No. Not china if you want to make a future business, China is a big bubble, and unless they're gonna fix shit they're gonna burst. Vietnam is where you want to move industry into.

But for time being, China is good imo, near future not so much.

China is going to be importing a hell of a lot more coal than Vietnam ever will. Bust or not they still open factories like mad each week and the demand got existing factories isn't going to slow any time soon.
