PS3 MMORPG (Character Development)

Ok recently got back into the whole console gaming thing and got my hands on an 80GB Playstation3. Got a few games, MGS4, BFBC, COD4(Sold the day after), Lost Planet, and WarHawk. What i'm looking for is some sort of Console Online MMORPG, something that has a storyline and has character development etc.

The games ive liked that I have on the PC etc are Hellgate: London, Mass Effect, Tabula Rasa etc that whole sorta thing.

So anyone got any ideas? Would be grateful as I really want to clock up some serious 'alone' time with my PS3

Oblivion is the closest i can i think of except no multiplayer It does have a really big story line which yo can alter.

I said MMO, Massive Multiplayer Online, and 256 is massive to today's standards. You're right it isn't an MMORPG and I said nothing about it being good

Just get WoW, its not exactly graphically demanding on a PC and I doubt anyone on a BF2 forum would have a terrible computer

WoW? Took me to get lvl70 and waste weeks on raiding to realise how bored and Guild Wars?! ARE YOU MAD?!

Dont take this the wrong way, but ive probably played every MMORPG, MMO, RPG w.e game there is on a PC.

Just to reiterate im not looking for an MMORPG or really anything online. On Mass Effect ive heard you can continue after you finish and develop your charcters weapons etc. On Hellgate London you can play offline, reach 50 finish the storyline and still develop your character with gear/weapons.

This is pretty much what im looking for
