The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. From what I can gather from the newspaper article I read it was an electric chainsaw to which he tied the handle down. It was plugged in via a timer switch and he then took a cocktail of drugs and drink and laid down with the chainsaw on his neck. He passed out, the timer kicked in, the rest is history.
Interesting idea, but if he was going to go to all that trouble why didn't he just drink more alcohol and kill himself that way?Slarty wrote:
