Yeah, we spent, literally, 12 hours in a car today driving from Vancouver, BC, Canada, to a Campground in Astoria, Oregon, I took a laptop and an Inverter, so now I'm all pimp posting from the middle of nowhere, turns out it;s an "All-Inclusive" campground with an Indoor pool, Water, Electricity(so says the sheet, I still haven;t found the plug, but it's midnight, all the flashlight batteries just died, and we just finished putting up tents.

I aint happy cuz dad took the camera but no cable and no card reader X(

So yeah, now everyone else is finishing up the sloppy setup as we go to bed, then tomorrow we'll get the rest set up.

Would anyone disagree if I were to use this as a daily update of the events?

First update,

Me and mah stepsis are in the same tent and she decided to stretch across my pillow, I slapped her feet, she screamed and went away with her mom to go to the bathroom

Unfortunately I can't, I'm on a mac with 10.3.9 Panther, Noone wants to pirate a regular true Leopard rip and Dropbox only works on 10.4+

I don't camp to get away from it all, I camp to get to light fires and fireworks roast marshmellows, but yeah, this is technically the first time I take a computer, and I'm liken it sofar.

P.S. The power/pool thing is just luck, this is the very last camping spot from the border to here, we coulda gone into the BC interior, but going to the states and buying cheap shit's cool.

So. Tell me what stores to drag em into and what to buy, sofar, I have Fry's and a new Harddrive for dad on the itenirary.

What stores out here sell decent headphones, we stopped by walmart and costco, and they were both crapphones.

I don't birdwatch or orient XD But what's totally is having Google streetview open while parked outside Safeway.

And as it was open, I dragged the map around so it caches some data, when we got going it actually saved us cuz we got lost.

The internets is actually pretty quick, our camo seems to be be at least 100 feet from any official buildings, and the only lightpole near has no router hung on it, but i still get >50% wifi reception

Update 3: Everyone seems to have disappeared, just me and dad now.
We tried plugging the inverter into the car while it's not running(mooch off the battery) but it's a bitch and goes into reboot cycles cuz the votage drops past the min right after the Mac transformer powers up. I'm currently at 46% and the timer reports an hour fifty to live. But I didn't mention my baby brother, he's actually turned 6 months old an hour ago, and his mommy has to (.)(.) feed him and power the milk pump. Turns out they might run the inverter to power the pump

So yeah, if the inverter plan falls through, I'll go to the camp lobby and give it to the receptionist to charge for me
Anyone think this is a bad idea?

Not much of an update but: Noone has yet found the supposedly promised power jack, apparently there should be one at every camp, there IS water tho.

Updates: We got up and had some free pancake breakfast, the pancakes are free, while erevything else aint X( (Syrup was free tho)
While we were eating, I plugged in teh laptop to charge(I drained it to 10%), it managed to grab 10%
Then after some random standing around we went to the suvenier shop where sis continued to buy crappy overpriced gifts, I meanwhile stood around with the adults and charged the lappy some more.

Current battery level: 31%
