You do not own a home, you do not have much in possessions, you do not have a family that counts on you, you do not have a job, and you are probably in school. You have a MYSPACE account where you spend your time chatting with friends about how much you think you know about real life.

I have a load valuable stuff in my pad: computers, video equipment, a huge movie collection, an irreplaceable (in my opinion lol) bass guitar collection, loads of irreplaceable items collected from around the world etc. etc. and I got burgled a while back...although I was furious at the time, and would have beat the living shit out of the culprits had I caught them, I would never have tried to kill them.

And that's despite the fuckers stealing my Iraqi bill with Saddam on it!

Now, add being in the middle of the night, you and your wife are sleeping in one room and your 2 kids are asleep in the other, it is dark, and these same people are breakinginto your home or are already there.

Well that's a completely different scenario to the one on the OP, I think a lot of people have already said in this thread that if your family are added to the equation the use of considerable force becomes more of an understandable option. In the story in the OP it is only property being damaged...although this is annoying and upsetting it doesn't warrant the death penalty, seriously lowing that's Shariah law shit you're talking about.

Yeah braddock, I know, the discussion has moved on from the OP back on page 1 or 2, alreasy made note of that pal. yet there you guys are still saying you would not take a life if someone broke into your home while you were there.....Good stuff.

Did I say that? If I'm in a 'him or me/my family' scenario during a break-in I assure you I will choose 'him'. The only thing I don't agree with in this thread is the proposition of a death sentence for damage or theft of inanimate objects.

I know that is what you have said, and I say if a criminal is IN MY HOUSE, in the middle of the night for the purpose of robbing me blind, it is fair to assume a threat exists toward me or my family and shooting is justifiable......YOU disagree with that, and I disagree with you.

No lowing, I think we're crossing wires again. The option to use severe force when you and your family are in the house is valid because of the physical threat the intruder may pose to you and your family, not because of the theft or damage of the objects. Take the physical threat out of the equation and the use of severe force is no longer justifiable. Objects and possessions are just not worth a human life.

Sorry Braddock, if a criminal is in my house uninvited I am physically threatened and I will react as such.  You can stop and have a conversation with him or interview him or whatever you plan on doing all you want.  As long as he has the ability to harm me and my family he is a physical threat and I will take steps to incapacitate him..YOU can take that anyway you want.

come one lowing... you need to address the offending intruder and ask him what his full intentions are...
