- Call Centers When can they come back to the U.S.
I think most people from New Jersey want to kill Laverne & Shirley. Thanks to them, we can't tell anyone where we're from without them spouting out "noo joizey" like they invented it. I grew up there and visit at least once a year to see family. I've never heard anyone say that.Mek-Stizzle wrote:

They will never go away. It's far less expensive than for companies to house their own personnel for taking calls. They don't have to worry about hiring, training, benefits, building space, equipment, and IT staff to support these extra people.Mek-Stizzle wrote:

I'm talking about training and turnover. Phone jockeys usually aren't trained effectively and don't stay long enough to learn anything. Therefore, it's merely a sales feature "we have a 1-800 number...therefore buy our product".
I personally spend at least 1-2 hours per quarter talking to Time Warner about my phone not working right. Why? Because everytime I call they transfer me to the wrong department and I get to wait again until I talk to somebody without any authority.
