I've got this form a Dutch website  and translated it with a auto translator so the grammar is fucked up.

Intelwill introduce his  first Nehalem-cpu at the end of this year. It is expected that three different models will be brought out with a price varying between 284 and the 999 dollars. Intel will bring out three different Nehalem-cpu  in the fourth trimester of 2008. The top of the market must be served by on 3,2GHz clocked Bloomfield which  combines four cores with 8MB L3-cachememory. The cpu can use eight threads  with the  hyperthreading with  of Intels and have quickpath interconnects which 6,4GT/s can process. On 2,66GHz and 2,93GHz clocked alternatives these share this featureset , but must it do with quickpath interconnects which 4,8GT/s can obtain.

The recommended retail prices for the processors according to Hkepc respectively 284, 562 and 999 dollars , although this suspected, however, piece prices are based on purchase of thousand copies. Fastest Bloomfield-cpu become cheaper than the most expensive Core 2 extreme of this moment, but nevertheless the mainstreammarkt are not able have the newest horse from Intel-stal. Intel for another treatment then at the introduction of the Core 2 two-high rolling mill, where chips came directly available as from 183 dollars, chooses.

Excellent, one of the new chips for less than $300.  Makes a upgrade around christmas alot more likely for me.  I wouldnt of minded $500 tbh, especially considering Intels record on the new parts upon release, but $300 is great if that turns out to be true.

if you upgrade you must include a new mobo and ddr3 ram,  and the ddr3 prices a not great at the moment

Well the first CPU will most likely be the extreme version. So- for a Christmas Upgrade:

Intel New CPU------$1,000
Overpriced DDR3---$100/GB
Intel X58------------$300+

Bleeding Edge of technology- Priceless

I'm personally jumping on Nehalem. The chips Probably wont be Conroe prices till the second half of 2009. It will probably take the same amout for DDR3 to drop. And because I just built a new system, 30% faster wont be worth the money.

I'm waiting for the next series after GTX280 from Nvidia, and the next version of Nehalem.

After a month Nehalem comes out, DDR3 prices will drop, since people are actually buying them on a large scale now.

i have a question

will the Intel Nehalem CPU's be able to work on 775 mobo's????

i think with AM3 (new amd socket), the AM3 CPU will work on AM2 mobo's due to backward compatibilities with DDR2

No. Entirely new socket. LGA1336, IIRC. I wish they went one number up...
