This is my scenario:

I use FireFox. My mom uses Internet Explorer.
To access FireFox, I either go to start>Firefox, or press the quick launch button. For my mom to access Internet Explorer, she always presses the Home button on the keyboard.

Ever since Firefox updated to 3.01, her default browser is now Firefox. Whenever she presses the home key on the keyboard it brings up FF instead of IE.

I can't find anywhere in the keyboard settings to change this. I did find how to change the Home key to open up IE, and it worked all day yesterday, but now this morning, it's back to opening up IE.

Any tips?

Click Start, then there should be a tab with select program / application defaults. Then you need to select IE as the default on your mum's account. The keyboard just opens the default browser so you need to change which browser is the default through the above.

If I switch the default to IE, would it affect my side? No, It shouldn't, because I click to start mine, while she presses he keyboard button.

You could also open IE and click Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Make Default.

Correct. When she hits the Home key, it just tells the OS to open her home page with the default browser. As long as you're specifically opening FF, it won't matter to you at all.
