*also posting this on TBF and PBF

Alright let me start out by giving u my system spec, x800xt(530/570), 2800xp+, 1gb2700ddr, and nforce2 chipset. Also this is for ati cards but u could proballey figure out how to do this with a nvidia card. Ok well i have had this setup for a couple months now and i got it for bf2 but i still could only run on med/low(in bf2:sf, in bf2 i could raise it abit) and i didnt want to upgrade. So iv'e been searching for the best settings to get bf2 to run good and i think i may have found them. I now run bf2 and sf on all high, med lighting and everthing dynamic is off i also have 4xAA enabled. Alright lets get on how to do it, first u need to get this driver http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?opti … Itemid=41/ , then use driver cleaner or whatever and install this one. Then get ati tray tool, its the best tweaking program imho. Install that and get it all up and running, right click it in your tray and goto 3d then settings. Make everything like this(u can add less or more AA depending on your vid card)http://i2.tinypic.com/ousl68.jpg , then save as a new profile. Then goto tweaks , advanced tweaks, then scroll down on the little dropbox to advanced d3d tweaks. Make sure all the boxs are checked if there not check them off. You can also try to overclock if u want just read up a little before u attempt. Now start bf go into vid settings and switch them to whatever u want but leave AA and filtering at low or off, test it out it should be better. This is what worked for me so i dont know if it will work for anyone else but its worht a try if u think bf2 isnt running like it should be. Feel free to post if it worked for u or u need help

(Note-dont care about my grammar im just trying to help u guys out)

If you're getting low FPS why the f*ck have you got aa set to 4x?

Also, you might want some proper ram and an ahtlon 64 3200/3700 to match your video card.

I get it and as I have almost the exact same spec comp (got 1.5g of RAM) I might give it a go. At the moment I'm running at 1280*1024 with everything on high except shadows and lighting which is on medium and aa on 4x. Get around 40 fps at the moment which is fine for playing really, but if I can tweak it up higher it wont do any harm. cheers dude
