Making a computer faster... ?

im not home and where i am the computer sucks......

I wanna know how i could make it faster.... for example, if you write an e-mail the message you type will appear a second after you write it... Idk if it has something to do with IE6.....

I went in Add or Delete Files, and i deleted all the stupid things.... im doing a disk defrag. now.

What else?

Ccleaner, eusing free registry cleaner and go into msconfig and uncheck any startup programs that you aren't using.

When did you last re-install?

Tech goes to hell as soon as Andoura appears.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

If it still has IE6 on it, then it's probably just old, slow hardware. You can't do much about that. The defrag/reinstall/regclean stuff could help, but probably not much.

Because you don't provide any info that we could use to help you. It's like going to the local service depot and ask "hey dude, how do I make my car go faster?!" without even specifying if it's a petrol or diesel, nor having the car with you, and expect service.
