In case you guys haven't figured out, it is just ranking based on the closeness of everything one would need to travel to, not necessarily on the safeness of each neighborhood. There is parts of the Pearl District I would not want to be in at night.

Austin, downtown really is a nice place to walk around, same with UT. As long as you work your way around the construction everywhere.
My village is 31/100 mainly due to the fact that living here you are car dependant.

Bellevue, 55 where I live. I wonder what the scale for bikes would be compared to walking, that's what I do and find no problems.
I put in "Anaheim, CA" and it said a 92/100... but it didn't even make it on the top list (and yes Anaheim is a popular and populated city).
