Ok i rearranged my room, computer, and stereo. And usually i try to split the load between two seperate outlet boxes, or atleast two seperate outlet plugs (you know how each box comes with two)

Well the way i have it setup now i can only use 1 plug on 1 outlet box (unless i inconvience myself to plug shit in elsewhere)

Right now ive got my 20" monitor, my computer, stereo reciever, router, and a light plugged into 1 power strip. all components are usually on and in use.

Is there math i can do to see if its possible for me to overload an outlet. And what would actually happen if i did suck too much power?

Assuming you do overload it, the circuit breaker ought to trip and that would be a clear indication you'd have to make some adjustments.

It's not the outlet that is the problem, but the cable of your power strip. If it's thick enough, you're fine.

if you use too much, circuit trips.

i dont see how it would though, i run tons and tons of shit in my room, mostly of 2 mains plugs, and it's never ever ever tripped.

I have tv, dvd-player, cable-box, cd-player, amplifier, pc, monitor (crt), subwoofer, vdsl-modem, printer, lamp and freezer in same outlet and it still isn't overloading. So you should be fine.

That's a chore to read XD

I have my computer, 2 CRT's, 3 chargers, speakers, 2 laptops all plugged into one and I'm fine.
