I have Logitech X--230 Speakers and they are not working... They was working a few days ago, The little speaker sign on the right bottom is have an ''X'' on it, and if i put the mouse on it it says: '' No Audio Output Device is installed.''   


I tryed everything....


Any idea ???

Sounds like a soundcard/driver problem if the windows volume control is saying that. Done any recent driver updates per chance?

Look at it from that angle and see if anything comes up.

Also, since you have some inclination that it's your speakers, try them with another computer/an mp3 player/something else and try some other speakers/headphones that you know work with your computer. I don't think it is your external hardware, but if it is those 'tests' will prove something.

85% it's teh drivers,

If Windows says that they no worky, then yer drivers no worky, Windows can;t tell if your speakers work or not(Unless MAYBE you have a USB pair with some uber-drivers that tell all)

Try to wiggle the cable that goes into the computer a little bit. Sometimes my speakers are not detected when I plug them in, and I have to do that.

its not my speakers... I tryed with other speakers and i still have the problem...   

It did that months ago and i fixed it but i don't remember how... If someone have an ideo let me know...

try reinstalling sound drivers for your soundcard.
