Ontopic, looks like a good way to get recognised if you're looking for a career in video games.

It looks like a good way to get more money for MS. If you are seeking a career in video games you should study and get a job in some developer. The Sheriff wrote:

What if you have no experience, they aren't going to hire you, now If you publish a game using this system, word will get around if it is good or not, you aren't doing it for the money, chances are you'll release it for free anyway.sergeriver wrote:

Well, if just one good game developer appears thanks to this system, then MS is right. The Sheriff wrote:

Does it really matter if user made stuff is being sold? It's hardly a bad thing. Just completely ignore it like i'm going to.
And in the off chance that something amazing is created everyone will be able to buy it.

That's how the Counter-Strike guys got their job.
And the GMod guys.
And some other steam guys I can't remember.

Its one very minor thing you could do that would bulk out your portfolio but that's about it. Good practice though. The Sheriff wrote:

Team Fortress was a quake mod. The three guys who created it were taken on by Valve.

The moral of the story is more money needs to be spent on education systems.
