hah and russel started the season in the minors!, Kapler was coaching ball, and Weeks really isnt that bad as far as second baseman go
why click on the post and read it then? I cant tell if your trolling or not, but Homefield advantage is huge in any playoff series. 4 out of 7 games are played in front of your fans.DoctaStrangelove wrote:

Not to mention but defensively, i think, baseball is the only sport where the field is different for every team. When you play at home, you know how the balls going to bounce out of the infield, you know how the balls going to bounce off the wall, you know the gap to gap diffence that each outfielder can maintain comfortably

Yeah the Yanks have had many great teams. Especially in the late 90's. Back in the early days the Yanks used the rest of baseball as their farm system. You are wrong about the Sox fans as being miniscule. Everyone still loved the Sox. They were the jinxed franchise. Lovable none the less. Get your facts straight. Have fun playing golf in October.Poseidon wrote:

It's funny too, before 2004, the Red Sox population was miniscule. Now all of a sudden, everyone's a Sox fan. Same thing with the Patriots.

The Bruins at the Boston garden before '97 had a smaller Hockey rink than every other building, so technically baseball is, but it wasnt alone at a time.Locoloki wrote:

Of course, maybe they should let the NL win when the reds arent a laughing stock, everyone can appreciate that great american smallpark.
Not really, Are you going to bash the Cubs fans next if they win a world series? They seem to have a lot of fans and dont win shitPoseidon wrote:

Thats because the sox fans are just a bunch of fucking bandwagoners, the cubs fans are truly dedicated, regardless of performance.
Every person thats a baseball fan of a team that doesnt have alot of wins in their history say that. Just look at the Rays ffs, young team that surprised everyone with the yankees like 6 games behind them.CosmoKramer wrote:

ok so we don't have that many wins, I will admit it, but we can't just throw around money like it nothing, like the big names, so going to the world series is a big deal. And in that year who did they beat to go the world series, the red sux.Roc18 wrote:

Golf in October? You guys are barely holding onto a lead with the fucking RAYS. THE RAYS! The season's half over and we're 6 games back...oh yeah, we're in trouble. /sarcasm Just watch, the Rays will win the division and the Twins will take the wild card.CC-Marley wrote:

You have to be fucking joking if you think the Sox always had loyal fans before 2004. Some? Sure. As much as today? Er, yeah...half of what they have today.
Just watch. Ortiz will be back soon and you guys still have A-rod and no pitching. Jabbba!eat another FROG!!Poseidon wrote:

If you had an owner who actually wanted to win he might actually invest in your team, instead of letting your big name players go.CosmoKramer wrote:

investing? we went out and got sabathia because he knows this team has a shot to go far in the playoffs, and we can't keep everyone, it just isnt possible we don't have that kinda cashTHE_EYE wrote:

You do know that Sabathia is nothing but a rental pitcher, yes? He should have fucking gone to the Phillies, I believe they offered more prospects. Instead they get Blanton. /failCosmoKramer wrote:

[sarcasm]well no i didnt realize he was a rental [/sarcasm] he only turned down 72 million already, and beside we can get rid of him at the end of the year and end up with like 5 first round picks-Gunsmoke- wrote:

might want to take that back now, only 1 game behind cubs, they came out of the all star game sweeping the giants, and about to sweep the cards, and now we are only 1 game back from the cubbiesLocoloki wrote:

As good as the Brewers roster is, they are going to have a heard time getting past the Cubs.
