San Francisco.
Plenty of places to walk, Fisherman's Wharf, a large China Town, Little Italy and some interesting sights.
Second is Los Angeles, with Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Hollywood and the many fruit markets.

I spent a month in new york when I was 8 and I didnt like it. I remember watching Termintaor 2 in a movie theater whose walls were so thin you heard the conversations of the people (along with the movie) from the screen next door.
I assume you're in your 20's now? It's changed so much...Giuliani cleaned up the city and Bloomberg's perfected his job.
Just ask cowami.
Most people don't know the difference between NYC and New York so please try and not cast a vote for NYC when you have only been to places outside of NY.
I enjoy the transportation in NYC and the different types of Jobs available( I can probably find 5 jobs within two days). But in the summer I really, really hate it. It is also a horrible place to vacation too(even if you have family in NYC). When it comes to work, Yes; Living, No.
