You are missing my point. When you don't vote, even when your vote is for the lesser evil, you are leaving the decision to other people. Go and vote, even if you hate both candidates. My candidate got 1% in the last elections, but I did go to vote anyway. And there's no need to be rude, you know.Pug wrote:

Hardly irony. He's bashing Obama in a post about McCain, yet he said he doesn't vote. He has the civil obligation to vote, not legally though. We foreigners, talk about the US government because the decisions made in the oval office affect not only the US but the whole world, so I don't see the irony. When Argentinian citizens that don't vote talk about how the government is doing this or that I told them to stfu coz they didn't vote, and I hate the government, but I did vote for other candidate.
See here: I don't think I'm going to vote this year. Why? The pros and cons of both candidates cancel themselves out. So I don't see a big difference between the candidates. I'm not going to "coin flip" just to say I voted. BTW my candidate got beat by Obama.
So I probably won't vote...does that mean I can't care about a topic? And more specifically, does that mean I can take crap from someone who's in the same situation as me? - An Argentinian who cares about the topic but can't vote?
I would say if you're going to argue along those lines...maybe you need to tell yourself to stfu.
My opinion on this matter has been stated before - Obama is a media darling. He is not a good speaker and in my opinion, he's given more leeway than other candidates. Which is exactly what marine said.

I'm not being rude, I'm explaining a point of view. Apologies, I didn't mean it that way. Marine is right - Obama is a media darling. I'm not arguing along party lines - my candidate got beat by Obama.sergeriver wrote:

I'm truly undecided. And I'm not looking at the lessor of two evils. I'm looking at the positives. But, I can't vote twice to cancel out my first vote. So...
There's lots of reasons not to vote. I believe I have a vaild reason which isn't apathy.
So what does this tell you? The candidate selection process is flawed.
And given that point of view, where I believe Obamarama is happening with the media and the candidates, why wouldn't I make the points I've made?
I'm a lot more patriotic than most. You have no idea how pissed I am at the political process if someone like me can't objectively come to a decision. I might have to vote under the premise of who the vice president will be. That's pathetic.
fair and balanced......lulz. bs. that label thread proved we have a bunch of lefties brad.Braddock wrote:

What this latest McCain clip shows is that he is yet another idiot who will perpuate the negative stereotype of the stupid, war-mongering, neo-con who lacks any geographical knowledge but we all knew that anyway. This won't change most voter's opinions, only the ones who possess the capability of critical thought.
Either way you should vote, it doesn't matter how pathetic the candidates in your opinion are. If you don't you aren't deciding the future of your country, as naive as this may sound.Pug wrote:

Obama = media darling? lol
He's been saying the same stuff for 4 years... and of course he flip flops sometimes. So does McCain. I'd bet that McCain has flip flopped more than Obama. McCain magically turned into a different person as soon as he started running for president.
Fact of the matter is you have to lie to become president. Well maybe not, but everyone does it, and everyone flip flops. But c'mon, McCain panders to the media too, and at the same time whines about it being biased.

How the hell did Bush survive all of this when he was running for president, how? Was his opposition both times, really that lame?

Democrats are famously bad at running presidential elections. Clinton would've lost in 92 if it hadn't been for Perot. Carter's first run was the last successful Democratic presidential campaign that didn't involve the advantage of incumbency or a powerful 3rd party candidate.Mek-Stizzle wrote:

Obama will hopefully start a new victorious trend for the Democrats in presidential campaigns.
Hopefully that trend will not included getting discounted gas for the convention here in denver illegally, the dems screamed that we didn't need a break from the gas tax & then take themsleves....illegally.Turquoise wrote:
