So I went to a recycling center to drop a bunch of crap off.
Amongst the several Bins was one for "computers" which was piled up with ancient computers. But amongst them were a few good looking P4 and old Celeron boxes, which I stripped of Processors, fans, drives, RAM, etc.
I threw back the Compaqs that looked not worth the effort. I DID go through a few and tinkered with them to see if I could get them to work.
A few Compaqs, a few Dells. After wasting alot of time, I built a fully working computer from the pile of parts.
So, My question is, what do you guys that tinker with old boxes do to isolate processor/RAM/Hard Drive/ etc. problems.
Obviously, this isn't answered in one sentence, but any good guides, links, tips, advice anyone have?
