BF2S Forums Nintendo DS Lite (considering buying one)

so I decided to get a DS lite, on the grounds that I know there is a few games I will love and even if after them I don't want to buy any more, by the end of the next week I would have made enough money to buy a PSP


I am though quite interested in these little card things for the DS, the M3 card?
I was wondering if it fits multiple games on it because I don't really want to carry games around with me.

Yea, but all you do is buy 2 or 3 extra batteries, charge them all up when the PSP is not in use and then your good to go.

There's that word again. It crops up often where the PSP is concerned.

But think of all the money you save on games on a PSP.....



My PSP has only cost me £95 total, that's including games and 4GB memory stick (Sandisk, not Sony obviously) - but not including the 8GB memory stick I later upgraded to when the firmware support was available.

As for trust, I'm going to use Gamestop as an example: I often have better luck getting my promotional stuff from online pre-orders than in-store. Not only am I saving gas, for one trip, but I'm saving telephone calls and extra trips to Gamestop and (likely) two or three other relatively nearby Gamestops for all the shit I was supposed to get when I pre-ordered the damn thing in the first place. One store even put my stuff out on the shelves as well.

Tehremos, you can get multiple .nds files on one MicroSD card and then just run them off of the R4 or M3.

I got my R4 from amazon. That was a long time ago though and I think Nintendo has stopped most retailers from stocking them now. I used to buy all my games but frankly at £30 each I just wasnt getting my moneys worth.

You can fit a LOT of games onto one card. I bought mine with a 2Gb micro SD card and its the best thing ever.

If you do get a flash card I highly recommend downloading a copy of jEnesis DS.  It's a homebrew Mega Drive/Genesis emulator and the latest version pretty much runs the games perfectly. It's all I play on my DS these days. Sonic 1, 2, 3, & Knuckles . I do some pretty blatant ass kissing in that thread but its all very well deserved. Compare jEnesis DS to the other DS Mega Drive emulator 'Picodrive DS' and you'll see what I mean.

To answer an earlier question, yes you can play the ROMs online and you'll get a unique friend code etc.

I also very highly recommend the 3 Phoenix Wright games. Best games on the DS IMO. My 2nd fave game is Advance Wars: DS (Better than the sequel 'days of ruin' IMO). AW:DS is one of my bought ones and i've clocked about 330 hours on it. Def got my moneys worth there.

just got one of these a few weeks ago. WELL WORTH IT! play any homebrew games you want and you don't have to worry about bricking your DS. its really cheap and it works well. i have at least 20 ds games, 9 genesis games, 4 snes games and 5 mp3's and they all work great.

Well I just ordered the R4 DS from Amazon using my checking account info. Its the first physical thing I've ever ordered online. Now I play the waiting game....

Thank you, a level-headed response that doesn't side with either handheld.  I love how everyone accuses each other of being a fanboy, and then goes into a 5 paragraph essay about why one handheld is better then the other, keeps me entertained, I guess.
