Whose Word would you take? That of a Liar or a Hypocrite?

Liar | 7% | 7% - 3 | ||||
Total: 42 |
A hypocrite...they might be going against their own PERSONAL beliefs or changing stances on their own personal beliefs, but they're not going to BS you.
Sort of like:
I'd rather take the word of someone who smokes but says smoking is bad rather than someone who says smoking is good for you.

A liar will tell me what i want to hear thus making me feel good.
Apply this thread to my post in the Al Gore thread.
Depends
A liar seems self-aware, a hypocrite might be incompetent or just plain dumb. So in some cases a liar might be better.

A hypocrite. The only person he is fooling is himself.
(assuming he is male...if not i'll be too busy gawking at her tits to give a fuck)

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Assuming that the liar is always lying, i.e. not a hypocrite, then shouldn't the opposite of what the liar is saying be the truth? Just ask yes and no questions and you should know exactly what they think.
women always lie, and we take it and move on right?
"I dont usually do this" or "you are my first" lulz

Neither.... I rarely take anyone's word.
I 2nd that and adding in that they might at first hold out on a belief and stay stubborn about what they believe in until the situation seem favorable, but I have a question even if they aren't totally bull shitting you would they still be a liar if they say they would go against they're beliefs? It kinda sounds like a paradox sort of.Poseidon wrote:

Love is the answer
Duh: liar. You at least know they're probably lying, so can flip it around for the truth.
Not if they lied when they told you they were a liar.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Null. Too often they are one in the same.
Xbone Stormsurgezz
I don't care what a hypocrite tells himself, only what he tells me.
