So, long story short, I lost my cd key and uninstalled BF2 after it wouldn't load any maps for some reason.

I just got moved into my house and got my verizon fios (10mb fiber) and I'm thinking of buying bf2 again, for $10.

Is it worth it? Is the game still filled with little pricks that ruin each and every round? Do servers/admins still kick/ban over stupid crap like saying noob, crap, damn, or for beating the crap out of you?

The game still has the pricks, but what game doesn't? The mods are great though, and arn't usually full of noobs.
edit: also 1.5 is coming

You'll find admin abuse and kicking on pretty much any online FPS.

I still play and have good fun. I came off from CAL and other leagues and play a lot without unlocks. Every now and then I'll let go and say hell with it and use an unlock or play with a specifc weapon.
Run around with a shotgun on a IO server or AT kit just for the challenge.

Play BF2 if you wish for it to bring you good times. If it makes you upset you should stop playing.

I find that apart from the standard noob maps Karkand, Wake and Warlord you can still have some fun.
Especially on EF and AF maps, which only few people have so the probability to run into noobs is much smaller.

I'm sure I'll get my hands on a copy. Though, I'm sure I'm still banned from many many servers for calling people fags and such and tking w/ m95 to solo in the cobra.

Man!! so get it and the expansions, ive not been on for ages just got back into it, im playing maps i hated Irongator and the Night maps, im glad for the break im enjoying it more now. Yes you still get the Knobs and the 12 yr old admins put there is still good servers out there
