Is there some place I can buy BF2 online and download it?
The EA store/downloaded whatever.
it's just a guess.

Tried that, but can only buy the entire collection, I just need BF2 standalone.
Could always try ebay.
This thread should obviously been posted in BF2 section btw.

direct2drive maybe
no you cant
What my friend did was torrent/warez the game, then buy a serial off Ebay for about £7.
I wouldn't fuck with EA downloader for anything as important as that if it can be avoided, save yourself some trouble and just get the DVD.
Would your friend happen to be you?FFLink13 wrote:

His name is Titch/Josh, if you must know.

As you can tell, he's new. Doesn't play much, but that'll change now it's the holidays.

The downloaded version is different from the CD version, as people had problems playing the game they downloaded. Patch problems, online playing problems, operating system problems, modification problems. And you have no hard copy.
I'd just buy the 3 CDs at GameStop or Best Buy. They had it for $10 last time I went there to buy the Complete Collection. They also had the double booster packs DVD and Special Forces in standalone packages. I did the math and found the CC was the cheapest choice. Still, that was a few months ago. But with such a hot game such as BF2, all of the choices are probably still there.

Bah, can't find just BF2 anywhere. Haven't tried Best Buy, but don't really want to go out of my way to try. Target and Gamestop didn't have it. Gamestop only had the $30 collectors pack, but I don't want EF/AF/etc. I have SF already, so I just want the original game. Target.com has it for $10, so I'll probably just order it from there.
best buy has it for $9.99
I'll hit BB, as getting it from Target will total $20 w/ tax+shipping. I figured a few bucks, but not ten.
There are plenty of working mini-images already tbh. (love to a certain Fck for mine) Buy a serial off somewhere if you can and just do what Link suggested if that's what you are after.
That has got to be the best deal ever lol.JetSniper wrote:

Why do you have SF but not BF2?too_money2007 wrote:

I HAVE BF2, but I lost my cd key. Also, I don't want the collectors pack because all I'll play is vanilla, but I just want the guns from SF. So, I just need a new copy of BF2, but I don't feel comfortable with buying a key online.
