I was looking for some software that would allow me to loop audio back into my computer without using the line in/out jacks as it degraded the sound quality a bit (stupid sound card) and found this:

However, the free version, other than restricting you to one virtual cable, acutally inputs "TRIAL" every 10 seconds or so into the stream, making it really irritating.  Anyone know any apps that allow the same thing to be done but free?

Umm, i think Audacity can do that, although it might be dependent on your sound card.... You could give it a try....

I don't have a sound card.   Onboard audio fail.

Hmmm... there might be a setting in your audio control panel that allows you to loop the sound.... i know mine does.... (Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe mobo with onboard audio....)

There might be...but gigabyte/realtek isn't exactly written in the best English all the time either.  It's understandable, but sometimes the descriptions are completely useless.

Do you have something like this?

On the bottom, on the far right, "Stereo Mix"

Ah, right.

Does that loop it back?

It takes anything coming off the "Stereo Mix" (AKA Main output) and puts it onto the "Input" channel.

Be careful, though, not to have "Listen In" (or whatever) enabled on the recording program, as you will get a TERRIBLE audio loop-feedback....

You want to record what your computer puts out then and there?

This one is for browser, but works all the same for anything else.
