RANT re: BF2 and EA Support (yeah, of course)

Holy fucking shit! I step away from BF2 for a couple days and I'd like to get back on but the fucking game keeps crashing every time I try and join a server!

I reinstall the game twice and still no fix! I've tried everything; updating graphics drivers, updating punkbuster, reinstalling and repatching. Nothing seems to work!

I go on EA's website (among many other Google searches for a fix) and nothing is helpful. I decide to finally send them a message as a last resort. I fill out their stupid form, attach my computer information, and I'm ready to send my message...

But not even their fucking website is working! Jesus fucking Christ!!! I tried it in FireFox and tried it in IE and still the webpage gets fucked every time I try and use their little app to contact support.

Guess all that's left to do is wait a week and try playing again and see if it actually works...

Try right-clicking on the BF2 icon, and then selecting "Run as Administrator."

delete your battlefield 2 folder under "my documents", I've had the exact same problem. Even an reinstall wouldn't work, deleting the folder however did .

Lol my game has done this a few times recently, i just start the game up again or restart the pc. This topic is 100% useless, all you're doing is ranting about the fact that your pc is fucked, not that ea support is shit. Omg their website was down! Awful customer support that!

Seems to be a popular trend, this ea abusing, pathetic tbh.

^ Well that's all a rant thread is, right? I just had to let off steam. Didn't actually expect to get help here (esp. since I already posted problems in other tech threads).

Also,

Ace of Spades: Yeah I tried that and I have it automatically running as administrator and the problem still occurs.
Cheez: Yep, I tried updating PunkBuster and still crashes.
Terror: Did that... still crashes

UPDATE: So the problem ended just as spontaneously as it began. I try joining a server and whaddayaknow it worked!

Mods, feel free to close this if you wish; I don't have anything else to add, but I suppose people want to laugh at me or something...

Ok wtf. Certain servers are causing me to crash, and others aren't. I don't know why...
And if I go to the Audio options, the game crashes, but I can still go to Video options and Controls.

BF2 is having a seizure...

I know I carnt play SF any more because of the sp3 update for windows xp.
