Last time I checked 'less than a third' was a distinct minority... I guess this proves all of lowing's theories incorrect.

You do realise that when Thomas More coined the term 'utopia' it was meant to be ironic, derived from 'nowhere'.usmarine wrote:

religion is a good thing. religion helps some people to understand the world, much the way science helps me to understand it.
extremist religion is a bad thing, which comes from lack of education, or more often simple indoctrination.
religions all over the world have their bad eggs, but tbh the focus is on islam for many reasons.
1 being Iraq/Afghanistan/Iran
2 being the massive differences between the "western way of life" and that over in the predominantly muslim countries.
And if you wana start saying Christians don't have this extremist problems, just go look at Northen Ireland.

I'd be fairly confident that the number would be very distinctly more than a few and significant, rendering your generalizations null and void.CameronPoe wrote:

I am betting it was NOT Islamic related. Islamic violence is so infrequent and insignificant there is no way it could be.God Save the Queen wrote:

The emerging theory is that it was Kurdish separatists, but we shall see. They're the ones usually responsible for bombings in Turkey - hence the reason Turks went into northern Iraq.lowing wrote:

I'm sorry - to generalise you have to make a comment on a group of people based on a minority view. So I'm afraid you're the one who is generalising....lowing wrote:
