pc won't boot windows :/

hi guys

i just put a new pc together today;

E8400
MSI P35 Diamond
2GB DDR3
80GB Sata HD
600W OCZ PSU

To start with it showed graphics info like bios version etc. then when it got to the windows loading bar it rebooted. Now it just shows the graphics info then reboots. I've gone into bios, cpu = @30', memory voltage is correct, i've tried 1 stick instead of 2, different video cards, tried to reformat but obv. if it won't let me past the graphics info this isn't possible.

Suggestions please

Wipe the HDD completely and install a FRESH copy, my friend had your issue, I believe I fixed it like that (he saved it for a few days on Recovery so u can do that and get precious porn family photos off)

Try that if you havent... Also FYI dont know if you know, with new components like a motherboard and processor you need a FRESH install of Windows

problem is now it's rebooting at this very initial step i don't get a chance to reformat

Check for the latest bios, am fairly sure the P35s needed an update to run the 45nm processors.

That also happened to me when I was about to select a partition...

Skip installing on a new partition, and then DELETE the old Partition, and then you will have to Format the drive, and then you can make a partition for windows to install on

hit me up on xfire if you need more info/details...

After talking to a mate on xfire he showed me a thread (can't find url atm) where a guy with exactly the same mobo was having the same problem. The only way he could boot would be to reset cmos, into bios, exit without saving. I did this and was just about able to reformat the hd, upon restarting having copied the fresh files i just get a message about windows can' find the boot disk ... this just gets better and better.
