The M249 wont jam if you keep it clean and lubed. The MK48 was put through a shit load of tests before it even went to a single unit.csmag wrote:

I like the mk48 but is it prone to jamming like the m249? My favorite firearm would be the C7A1 because it's the only real gun I've handled. Now theres an m16 that you can fire on full auto.
Thanks for the info man. I went and rechecked my facts and found that apparently it only jammed when being fed by a magazine. And I guess that doesn't really matter because the compatibility with stanag magazines was removed.SgtHeihn wrote:

And yes technically I have shot a full auto M16, it wasn't meant to be but it still shot that way(worn out sere)
